Pitta people are often quite strong with a good appetite. Pittas need to eat regular meals, as when they are hungry they can be irritable or hypoglycaemic. They have logical minds and love to learn, organise and lead. Pitta people enjoy competition and success. Although they love a challenge, they can drive themselves too hard in their pursuit of perfection. Pittas are often too warm and need to keep cool. They perspire more than most and need to wear absorbent, natural fibres. They tend towards inflammatory conditions, acid indigestion and sore throats. They can get angry easily, but it is soon forgotten.

If you are Pitta you need to: -

  • Avoid excessive heat
  • Avoid excessive oil and dairy foods
  • Limit salt in your diet
  • Avoid too much spicy food
  • Do all things in moderation
  • Keep cool, drink cool (not iced) fluids
  • Learn to relax and let go of negativity
  • Use calming, positive visualisation
  • Enjoy the countryside, especially under the shade of trees
  • Decrease your use of stimulants like coffee, caffeine, nicotine and alcohol
  • Sleep in a cool room, avoiding draughts
  • Do not overeat, take frequent smaller meals
  • Avoid toxins and impurities of any kind
  • Avoid strenuous physical exertion
